What are the symptoms of diabetes? The known symptoms of diabetes are:

  • Slow healing of wounds
  • Yeast infections
  • Increased urination rate
  • Weight loss
  • Blurred vision
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue

These are the symptoms through which you can know either you are a victim of diabetes or not. These symptoms are found in a person who is either suffering from diabetes of type 1 or type 2. The major difference between type 1 and type 2 is insulin production from pancreas. In the first type, the pancreas does not produce any insulin in the body that is why the sugar (glucose) level becomes high. In this type, the patient is prescribed to take insulin through injections rather than taking tablets which are made for diabetic patients. Type 2 is very similar to type 1 but in this type the pancreas produces insulin in small quantity. The small amount is not sufficient to meet the requirement of body. So in this case, doctors prescribe the use of medicines which can help in enhancing the activity of pancreas for some time. During this duration, the insulin production becomes normal and thus the person feels good.
